The Unfold Youth Dance Coseley group is one of our longest established youth groups, led in partnership with The Coseley School, and first formed following the Godiva Awakes project 2012.

The group has had some amazing dancers past and present and continue to nurture and grow the talent of tomorrows dance world. See the attached slideshow for evidence... 

The group were one of the Unfold groups to perform at The Crescent Theatre in July 2014 to rave reviews!!

Their most recent pieces have explored contemporary dance techqniue, fusing different styles of dance such as African and Jazz and also Ballet.

The group are working hard this term to nurture their dance and performance skills by exploring a range of topics and themes. More evidence of their class work will be posted soon! 

The group range from ages 13 upwards  and experience weekly class that develops 

• sound dance technique 

• understanding of the human body, basic anatomy

• self confidence and body awareness

• the technical language of dance theatre 

• fitness, stamina and exercise

• performance skills 

• choreographic and compositional skills  

• appreciation and evaluation skills 

   

The Unfold Youth Dance groups also experience work that supports their dance studies at school and college, such as GCSE, BTEC and A level dance support.
